Nose is usually corrected surgically, but recently there is a possibility of correcting and sculpting the nose by means of fillers and botox. The stated treatments are recommended for moderate to strongly expressed nose deformities such as sideway shifts, irregularities of the root of the nose with dents, splinted nose top, aquiline nose and other. The advantage of these methods is in the fact that they are non-aggressive methods for which you do not need recovery. They are recommended to people afraid of surgical procedures or general anesthesia.
Rhinoplasty is still the main method for corrections and nasal shaping and can be done independently or in combination with fillers and botox, which gives the best results.
Unfortunately, surgery cannot completely remove minor nasal deformities (for example nose tip indentations), which can be almost completely corrected with fillers. Corrections with fillers or botox take just a few minutes and anesthesia is not needed since the procedures are not painful or unpleasant and there are no restrictions after the treatment. Usually fillers based on hyaluronic acid, which is the basic structural part of our skin, are used and results last approximately from 9-12 months (sometimes longer). After that time hyaluronic acid dissolves and creates new connective tissue. Maintenance treatments once every 2-4 years are advised. With botox the results last approximately 4-9 months, with occasional maintenance treatments once every 1-2 years. Only one treatment with fillers or botox is needed and the result can be seen immediately with fillers, while botox gives visible results after 7-15 days. Fillers can be, if needed, combined with botox, but are usually sufficient by themselves. Botox is advised only in case of an aquiline nose.
